A 6-Week Live Training for High-Performing Men

The Margin

You built everything except the capacity to experience it.
This is where that changes.

6 Weeks · Live Sessions · Small Cohort · 15 Hours

Something has shifted. Not visibly. Not dramatically. But the distance between you and the life you're actually living has become harder to ignore.

A flattening. The milestones still arrive but they've stopped landing the way they should.

You're still performing, still providing, still showing up — but you're managing your existence rather than inhabiting it.

The people closest to you are reaching for someone they can feel is still in there — but can no longer access.

The 3am question you don't talk about at breakfast: What was it all for?

Over years of adaptation, you built a default system. It was intelligent. It was necessary. And it followed you home.

What was rewarded

  • Containment — managing emotional states internally
  • Self-reliance — the belief that needing help is weakness
  • Provision — your value measured by what you provide
  • Resilience — absorbing difficulty without visible effect

What was deferred

  • Tenderness and genuine emotional range
  • The ability to be affected and let it show
  • The ability to need someone without it feeling like failure
  • Presence — rather than monitoring every interaction
"Not broken. Not absent. Deferred — under conditions that made deferral the only rational response."
The central reframe

A structured descent from surface to substance

Each session builds on the last. The three pillars — identity, language, and relationships — are interwoven throughout. Real-life homework between sessions ensures the work doesn't stay theoretical.

01
The Operating Mode
Foundation
Identify the system that was built to survive — its intelligence, its cost, and where it shows up when no one taught you to look.
02
The Man Beneath the Mode
Foundation
Connection before depth. Being heard by another man — not about what you've achieved, but about what moves you.
03
The Margin Call
Arrival
The emotional centre. When someone in your life needs something the operating mode cannot provide, and the moment cannot be deferred.
04
The Language of the Interior
Descent
You have a vocabulary for boardrooms that could fill a library. And a vocabulary for your interior life that fits on a Post-it note.
05
The Proving Ground
Descent
Taking the new capacity into actual relationships. Practice, pushback, and the discovery that showing up differently changes everything.
06
The New Position
Integration
Consolidation. Who you are now. What has shifted. What the ongoing work looks like when this room is no longer holding you.

The architecture of the work

Pillar One

Old Story → New Story

Every man carries a narrative about who he is — assembled from conditioning, expectation, and the operating mode he built to survive. The work is not to destroy the story. It's to complete it. Not broken. Unfinished.

Pillar Two

Language as Architecture

The words you use don't describe your experience — they create it. "I'm fine" isn't a feeling. It's a shut-down sequence. When the vocabulary expands, the interior expands with it.

Pillar Three

Relationships as the Proving Ground

Transformation that doesn't show up in relationships isn't transformation — it's theory. The real test is what happens at the dinner table, not what you say in a group call.

Structured. Demanding. Built for men who respect precision.

6

2.5
Hours Per Session
10–12

Total Hours

Live video calls. Cameras on. Small enough that every man is seen. Structured exercises, accountability partnerships, and homework that sends you into your actual relationships — not worksheets that gather dust. The work between sessions is the work.

What this is. What this isn't.

This is not

  • Therapy or a men's circle
  • High-energy motivational performance
  • Spiritual bypassing or toxic positivity
  • An invitation to dismantle what you've built
  • Humiliating exercises or performative emotion
  • A room that treats you as broken

This is

  • A structured training with real accountability
  • Direct, intelligent, and substantive
  • Practical work that shows up in your actual life
  • An expansion of capacity, not a demolition
  • A room of men operating at a similar level
  • Led by someone who has done his own work
"If you want a different reaction, you've got to bring a different you."
Richard Cuevas
Founder, The Rising Man

Richard works with high-performing men who have achieved external success but are experiencing a growing disconnection between their outer accomplishments and their inner life. His approach is built on four pillars: authentic relationships, emotional maturity, meaning and purpose, and deeper presence.

He describes his work as helping men heal, mature emotionally, transform their relationships, and confidently live better lives. His framework is an integral development programme focusing on heart, body, and mind — not just cognitive understanding but embodied, felt transformation.

Richard also leads The Rising Man Retreat — a 3-day immersive experience in woodland near Salisbury — and works with men through ongoing 1:1 coaching. The Margin is the structured on-ramp: six weeks of focused, facilitated group work that builds the foundation for deeper engagement.

The margin can still be rebuilt.
But it requires beginning.

Places are limited to ensure every man in the room is seen and held accountable. If you recognise yourself in what you've read, this is not an accident.
